E‐RTTM, is a combination of conventional Real Time Transient Modelling (RTTM) which has been extended with Leak Signature Analysis utilizing advanced pattern recognition techniques. The result is a leak detection system that combines very fast detection of even small leaks, under steady state as well as transient pipeline operations, such as start‐up and shutdown of pumps or any other operation which impacts line pack.

The leak signature analysis provides high reliability in detecting true leak events and eliminating false alarms, providing operations with the confidence to quickly respond due to a product release, minimizing the consequences.
