Progressive cavity pumps are a type of positive displacement rotary pump where a sealed cavity is formed between the rotor and stator which moves from the suction side of the pump to the discharge side. Wide ranges of viscosity, temperature and solids content that can be transported with extremely low shear rates and minimal pulsations.
